Anita Karim, a 22-year-old from Karimabad, Hunza, is the first female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter to represent Pakistan at an international level. The Ismaili is pleased to present a rendition of Allah Hoo, the famous qawwali popularised by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, performed here by Fitoor. The genre of Muslim devotional music known as qawwali was founded in the 13th century. It fuses lyrical repetition and remembrance and combines Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Indic musical traditions.
This Afsaana 'Jee Aya Saheb' is written by a critically acclaimed writer of the Urdu Language, Saadat Hassan Manto. Manto’s own life mirrored the characters he portrayed in his famous short stories, sketches, and his powerful non-fiction. This Afsana valiantly attempts to raise the impenetrable curtain from a critical societal dilemma. It adequately describes the social evil of the class system of the so-called Elites, who torment and suppress underprivileged servants steering them towards imminent mental disorders.
