Surface Tension Of Water by Asharib Ali

This experiment is about understanding surface tension of water. The materials used in this experiment are: 2 bowls of water, tissue paper, 2 paper clips, liquid detergent. Surface tension is a property of the surface of a liquid that allows it to resist an external force, due to the cohesive nature of the water molecules. Liquid detergent is used here as surfactant. Surfactants are compounds that lower the surface tension between two liquids, between a gas and a liquid, or between a liquid and a solid.
