After many years of anticipation, designs of the Ismaili Center in Houston were presented at a special event hosted in Houston, Texas. Design architect Farshid Moussavi and landscape architect Thomas Woltz shared plans for the site's building and gardens. Also present at the event were civic officials, leaders from civil society, and the media.

The award is the highest honour bestowed by the Texas Center recognising leaders who are a major force on the international stage.
